Hi everyone, and welcome. FSPitside is a community built for Formula Student. It exists for one reason: every year teams solve the same problems from scratch, because what the last generation learned leaves with them when they graduate. We want that knowledge to stay, and to be shared across teams instead of locked inside one. It is built by Formula Student alumni who now volunteer at competitions. It is free for students and teams, and it always will be. WHAT YOU CAN DO HERE - Knowledge Library: design reports, CAD, simulation setups, checklists, lessons learned. Every resource is reviewed before it goes live, and it stays tied to the team that published it. - Forum: ask the question you are stuck on, or start a discussion. Questions can be marked as solved, so the answer stays findable for the next team with the same problem. You can attach up to three photos to a thread: the broken part, the dyno plot, the drawing. - Marketplace: buy, sell or trade parts, materials and tools with other teams. We do not handle payments or shipping. You arrange the exchange directly, and both sides confirm it and rate each other afterwards. - Teams: every team has its own page, members and history. - Jobs and Events: opportunities from partner companies, and the competition calendar. HOW IT WORKS Nobody here is anonymous. Everything you write is signed with your name and your team, because that is what makes the content worth trusting. To post, join your team (your team leader approves you), or register your team if it is not here yet. Scrutineers, judges and professors can take part under their own name. Inside a team, the team leader decides who can publish to the library, post listings, or speak on behalf of the team. The leaderboard ranks teams, not individuals. Teams earn points by sharing useful work: resources, answers that get accepted by someone outside the team, successful exchanges. Your personal score comes only from upvotes on what you write. Badges mark the milestones along the way. A FEW GROUND RULES - Be specific. A clear question with what you already tried gets answered fast. - Share what you can, and respect what you cannot. Do not post anything covered by sponsor agreements or another team's work without permission. - Disagree with ideas, not people. - If something looks wrong, use "Report this". Reports go to the moderators and we act on them. This is the first season, so things will change based on what you tell us. If something is missing, broken or confusing, say it in General Discussion. We read everything. See you in the pits. The FSPitside team
